Apparently Wyndham Hotels has acquired La Quinta hotels. I've only noticed this today when browsing La Quinta's website and seeing that they were now accepting Wyndham Rewards.
Wyndham already includes Ramada, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Super 8, Microtel, Travelodge, Baymont and other brands.
