Rag shop was an arts & crafts type store. I went to the one in Waterbury, CT once. It was in the Naugatuck Valley Plaza (which replaced the Naugatuck Valley Mall) next to Linens & Things. They closed before I had a chance to go again.

There was one in the Norwalk Plaza in Norwalk, CT. I can remember going there a couple times.

The one near me was only open for 2 or 3 years (Ironically, an AC Moore opened directly next door in a former Office Max only a few months before the Rag Shop closed). The Rag Shop space is now Modell's sporting goods.

It was an okay arts & crafts store, it wasn't very exciting IMO. They did have car models and such it was a lot like Micheal's and AC. Moore. I sort of miss it though.
