Title: Fun World (Southington, Connecticut)
Post by: ynkeesfn82 on November 22, 2014, 05:46:43 PM
Fun World was a Family Entertainment Center at 151 Queen Street in Southington, Connecticut in the Oak Hill Plaza. I never went there so I have no idea what it was like. I also don't remember how long it was open. It became a gym called The Southington Athletic Club that has since closed and is currently empty. It's around 13,000 Square Feet.

Is that location still empty?

Part of it still empty. Part of it is becoming an specialty store selling Indian groceries. It will compliment the Indian restaurant a few doors down very nicely.

Indian Grocery stores got great foods. An old Kash N Karry became one here in Tampa. Another store (an old Publix) became an Asian Grocery.

Fun World closed in 1998. An advertisement in the Southington Observer Newspaper from July 9, 1998 states The Southington Athletic Club (formerly Fun World) is opening soon.
