The new owners of Century III Mall have announced that they plan to demolish one of the anchor stores
(a former Hornes/Lazarus, later Macy's Furniture Center, which has been vacant for some time) and part
of a parking deck to make way for a new movie theater.

Ironically this mall had a movie theater when it first opened in 1980.   It closed within just a few years.
It was eventually replaced by a Marshall's store.

Obviously this shows the mall's new owners are serious about investing in some changes.
It's situation is still perilous though with Sears and Pennys occupying two of the other anchor spots.
