Title: Were the people at GMC high when they came up with this system?

The Gear controls on the new 2018 GMC Terrain Denali are located below the heater control, which is below the radio. The controls remind me of window switches. How high were the people at GMC when they came up with this one?

It probably cost them around a million bucks to come up with that, and it's a solution to a problem nobody has. Push-button transmissions didn't catch on 60 years ago & I don't think this is going to change anything.
