Title: Ground breaking on retail project in Hartford, CT held
Post by: ynkeesfn82 on June 04, 2015, 04:02:52 AM
They held the ground breaking for the retail project that's going to be part of the new Minor League Stadium project in Hartford, Connecticut. Plans include a supermarket, but they have yet to announce an operator for the supermarket.

Interesting.  I understand that the mall which was part of the Civic Center development when
the Whalers played there has failed.  Wonder why they would try again?

What's the plan for the stadium?  Move the New Britain Rock Cats up the road, or
try and lure a AAA team?

Rockcats are moving in next season and will become The Hartford Yard Goats. Mayor Stewart of New Britain says she's trying to find a new team to play in New Britain such as a team in the same league as The Bridgeport Blue Fish or maybe even try to lure The Blue Fish to New Britain.

Speaking of sports I saw trending on Facebook that the Pittsburgh Penguins might be up for sale. What are your thoughts about that?
