Title: Philly Radio News Update 12/2/14

The CBS/Beasley Deal closed yesterday 12/1/14.

For the time being they will be keeping WIRED 96.5 as is. It seems rumors to move KYW News Radio to FM were just that - rumors. There is a possibility that after the first of the year they will revamp WIRED 96.5's existing format including possibly changing the name to AMP Radio just like how CBS owns stations with that name in Boston (103.3), LA (97.1), and NYC (92.3)
