Riverfront Ace Hardware in Amsterdam does not use their own shopping carts, rather ones picked up off the streets like the thrift stores of yesteryear. Here's an embarrassing attempt at them trying to make a current T.J. Maxx unit theirs:

I highly doubt it considering Ace has been operating at the location where I saw the shopping carts since 1956
Was there a True Value in the area? And was the handle style a bolt-on type like an old Unarco or the one where the insert is held on by screws like a United Steel & Wire product?

While I have departed from Reddit, those carts are certainly of the US&W or Tote style. Likely 1970s.
