Is newport creamery still around? When I used to go to Moonstone Beach, I used to stop at NewPort Creamery.

It appears so - they had filed for bankruptcy back in 2000/2001, and closed many locations, but they still have
around a dozen locations:
Barrington, RI Coventry, RI Cranston, RI
Fall River, MA Greenville, RI Johnston, RI
Middletown, RI Newport, RI North Kingstown, RI
Providence, RI Seekonk, MA Warwick, RI
(There may be more than 1 in a city, not sure)

I once made it through 7 Coffee awful awfuls. According to my friends, I was greener than Kermit the frog. Terrible mismanagement killed this wonderful little chain. Most local malls had one and they were one of the few restaurants where you could actually get a decent hot dog.
