Title: Coconuts
Post by: TRJ22487 on March 22, 2010, 01:14:49 AM
Couldn't find the old topic if there was one
Here is the Keene, NH location taken by Caldor Rainbow in 2006

I went behind the building today
And the back door still has the Coconuts name

There was also one a store down from the Rich's/Ames in West Lebanon, NH
I got banned from that store when I was 14 for spitting in a managers face after
some of the poorest customer service I've ever seen from a store

What could a manager have possibly done to warrant being spat on?

It's not something I'd like to talk about anymore even though I brought it up
I consider myself an entirely different person between the year 2000, when that happened, and 2010
Basically though they wouldn't give my money back for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (it had just been released at the time) for Sega Dreamcast. No matter how many copies I tried the game simply would not read on my system.
All I wanted was a different game or my money back, it wasn't that I didn't want Tony Hawk because I did badly
The manager came out and in front of a bunch of people told me he didnt like "punk kids that try to take advantage of stores"
Basically he was accusing me of treating the store like a rental store
I didnt take kindly to being called a punk, even if spitting in his face was probably acting like one.
You've gotta be careful how you talk to a teenager...
And that's kind of what he got for assuming I was trying to rip off the store just for my age.
Either way I never bought videogames from any Coconuts again
I'm not shocked the place is no longer in business. We used to buy from them a lot before that.
