Title: Alpha Beta

An old West Coast grocery chain, mainly concentrated in Southern California. The chain ceased to exist sometime around 1988 when American Stores bought Lucky stores. Many locations were co-branded with Skaggs Drug, as "Skaggs Alpha-Beta" Here is a pic of an un remodeled store interior, taken last month.

Another Alpha Beta interior pic. There aren't many stores with this interior left, since the chain folded most of the former stores were converted to other things...

All the 70's locations had these "A-B" tiles on the front, and in the meat department...
