Back in 2018, I came across this vintage unlabeled shopping cart on the Tops property in Saranac Lake, with oversized rear wheels. Knowing there was once an A&P in Saranac Lake, perhaps this was once an A&P unit?

Could be either that or from Grand Union (which was in the store that later became Tops, and is now returned to the Grand Union name following the parent company merger between Tops & Price Chopper/Market 32).

No idea how long GU was there, but they did have older stores in many areas up that way, and A&P (apparently) had an older store in town before the current one (that was closed around 2000 and later used by a local company after their building near the Tops burnt down, until that business closed a few years back).
