Was it anything like JCPenney Furniture? The one located next to a penney's store close, and is empty; has been for 3 years now?

Sears used to have there furniture department in there stores at one time in the Pennsylvania area. Then for some reason sepearted it and started there own furniture store in 1996. I wasn't very successful and they all shut down in 2002.

At Sears Canada, most big stores sold furniture but recently they moved the furniture out into self-standing stores called "Sears Home".

It's a good move because it creates space in the stores but the furniture stores are not doing quite well...

Real furniture stores have a long, solid reputation.  Sears does not have it.

Sears had stores branded "HomeLife" furniture stores. At the end, (before they went out of business) they were not owned by Sears.

Homelife? Is that the furniture store that was on the second floor of the Sears Surplus store at the Mall at Bristol Centre that later became part of the Sears Surplus store?
