Bamberger's

Anyone remember this store at all? In New Jersey in 1986, 6 years before I was born, this store became Macy's in New Jersey. My parents remember this store well though.

Former Bamberger's at Nanuet Mall in Nanuet, New York. It is now Macy's. Interior is like a complete 1960's time capsule.

ive actley been inside that macys it loosk liek its ben rentvated and such because i dont see any old fixtures but the outside is def old the mall also use to have a sterns

really, but when did they go and what quality was their merchandise? high end low end or moderate or like MAcy's?

from what im gussing they were liek macys they were in the middle

No old fixtures? Yeah there were. The ceiling screamed 1960's. There was an old school clock in there too, hanging from the ceiling..near the escalators, I think.

well yea that stuff was old but the carpiting and tiles and such dident look so old

yea the inside got a full rentvation in the early 90s and its gonna ge anouther one this year to i heard also that macys is gonna close soon because there moveing to the palsiades

In Hammonton, NJ, there is a house with an old Bamberger's trailer on the lawn!

Bamberger's had a few stores in the Philadelphia area.  Their first was the Cherry Hill Mall location, followed by:

• Oxford Valley Mall (1973)
• Springfield Mall (1974)
• Deptford Mall (1975)
• Lehigh Valley Mall (1976)
• Montgomeryville Mall (1978)
• Christiana Mall (1979)
• Court at King of Prussia (1981).

All of these stores have been "Macy's" since 1986.
