Mine has changed to the new logo they are using, and it is now called Sears Appliance and Hardware.

In Canada, they launched "Sears Home" stores.  They only sell furniture, matress and big appliances.  It's part of the strategy to go off-mall.  It's a good idea but the other chains of furnitures are well established and have better prices.  The company also sold the remaining auto centers recently.  

They also introduced products called "Sears More Value" and "sears Value" wich can be clothing, appliances, shoes, tools that are priced at a "low price" that ends by .97 $  They are never on sale...  LOW PRICE EVERYDAY:yup:

Jag, I think you may be talking about Bob Vila...maybe I'm wrong. I probably am. But I don't know what happened with him and Sears commercials, anyway...

I just saw a Sears TV ad for the 4th of july:  

they show a sale on swimwear: good  
a Kenmore Trio refrigerator:  recently recalled (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/recalls04/2005/lg_kenmore.html)  

and Michelin Tires :  after the US F1 grand prix with 6 cars...

Nice job Sears !! :roll:

I remember when Sears had the look before that one! There was a Sears that wasn't in a mall that I went to alot as a kkid in Abington Pa.. It opened in 1958. It moved into a mall in 1984 though. The building was converted into a mini-mall and now a Target took it over in 2003.

i found it while looking for pics of Sears

it probleyy was bulit sometime in the 80's

and it kida looks like the Filenes in Danbury CT

but with only one flor

Heres a picture of the Willow Grove Sears in Willow Grove Park Mall. The parking garage was added last year. It just used to be a regular parking lot there. The walkway takes you to the second floor of Sears.
