They were just shut down in Dec. 2005. I myself liked them. I like thrift stores that is. It was cheap and it was good. To bad the company is having there problems.

Still looks like they're in business to me, unless this website is really outdated

Yup - just saw the Pittsfield MA one last week - still had signs, cars, etc.

But they did close the one on Route 2 between Watervliet & Latham (NY) - so maybe they were just cutting costs by closing ones that didn't have many customers.

The ones that are still open will close within the next year I bet. Mine closed already.

I live in Memphis and there is one right outside of the downtown area.  It looks to have been there for a long time and is still open 6 days a week.

Storehistoryguy, the second website you gave a link to is apparently out of service because when I followed it it took me to a domain name site.

There's at least two Wonder/Hostess outlet stores here in the Denver metro. One's near I-25 & Evans the other's near 6th Ave & Peoria St

This is the (former) store in Latham (Route 2 between Watervliet & Latham) - the building is still used as a depot for delivery trucks, and it appears they may be using the front (the store portion which was only about as deep as the shorter part of the roof) as an office or something (there was someone going in through what used to be the store doors at one point).

By the way, the other building you see in the background is the Bargain Outlet posted elsewhere - and the U1st sign is connected to a building to the right of the photo (their driveway is the paving you see in the lower right corner).

This is the Pittsfield store - this one is still open (at this point, anyway).

The one in Bristol, CT was only open for a few years before they closed. They were on Riverside Avenue (Route 72). The one in Southington closed a year ot two after the Bristol one closed and is now an AllState Insurance Office and Maytag Appliance Store. I believe they're still in Meriden.

There is one a block away from my house, in a former 7-11. It opened about a year and a half ago, after the building had been vacant for over 5 years. They're doing great business there so I'd be surprised to see them close.

The one in Memphis is still open and is located right down the street from one of the main bakeries.  The side street itself is kind of dingy, but it is right around the corner from one of the busiest renovation areas of downtown Memphis.
