Here is a picture of me in front of an Ames that as of last summer was being used to hold a flea market. It was in (near?) Ellensville, NY! Has anyone else seen any strange or unusual uses like this for old Ames?

I've sent Chris a bunch of pictures of the 3 different (it moved a couple of times!!) Ames locations that were in St Johnsbury, VT. Look for them soon.

Wasn't that the Caldor in Newington, CT?? It was the last Caldor's that opened and it was SUPPOSED to the new prototype. I spent a month working there -- when I was working at Caldor's.
I wondered what happened to the Ames in Vernon, CT, East Hartford,CT and Manchester, CT...Does anyone knows??

My Ames (#76 Rehoboth Beach,DE)  is now destoyed. The strip mall it was part of is now a new condo complex. After it closed it was a club, then a "farmers market."

They showed the Pennsylvania Home & Builder's show (a local annual event) on the news just a few minutes ago.  Hmm...what's all that green on the walls with the brand names?  Oh yeah, it's the old Hanover PA Ames location!
