here is the 160,000 sq.ft. filene's in the brass center mall in waterbury Ct it opened 9 yrs ago. lettering was off in the inside of part of the mall's entrance. I was there july 21, 2006.

waterbury. (what was the one in the old mall like?, I was in the old mall's area). it looks like they are ready to put the macy's name on.

here is the vacant filene's in danbury CT as of July 22, 2006. it is still vacant in a nice adn huge mall.

here is the doors: it maybe hard to make out whats saying from the picture: but it says coming soon an exciting shoppers experience and a few merchants at the mall told me they do not know what is going in the old filene's.
