I love the episode of the Simpsons where Marge is making pretzels and all the other women are making pitas...basically they are competing over the same market.

Marge: "Well I guess Macy's and Gimbel's learned to live side by side."
Agnes Skinner: "Gimbel's is gone Marge, long gone.  You're Gimbel's!"

yes i do remebr that it closed sometime in the 80's but i think it was in 1986 tp years before i was born in 1988

it aired ssometime in the 95 96 or the 96 97 sesioni love the oine were they go to New York City that opne wont be shown for awile

I just saw the NYC episode last week.  It was missing for about two or three years by slowly I've seen it back on in syndication (for those who don't know - the episode has several scenes where the World Trade Center Towers were prominently featured - after 9.11.01, this epise was basically removed by the networks that carry the syndicated episodes because of the sensitivity of the situation).

The Pretzel Wagon episode is hilarious.  The other ladies with their "Fleet-a-Pita's" that they sell out of a large winnebago that comes in with the music blasting to Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop"...mid-90's Simpson's episodes are surely the best.
