Since Wal-Mart deiced to declare that Oct. 30 is Christmas season, I guess we should start a thread about the whole holiday in general.
I remember getting a camcorder back in 2010, and being so excited. I still have that camera.

I personally sold 350 VHS machines between Halloween and
Christmas Eve, 1985.   It was the must-have gift of that season.
