This store remained vacant (apart from seasonal tenants) until 2011, when it became a Big Lots.  Interior photos are from 2006.

Oh well. Big Lots isn't really that big of a presence in Eastern Connecticut. They have a closed one in Putnam and one in the former Norwichtown Mall.
Ocean State Job Lot does very little to renovate stores, which means the A+ can be found in some stores.

I see they had the OLD red trim from my days at Ames in the early 90's.
The 521 store number indicates that it was a former Murphy's Mart location.
I believe I met one of the managers from this store at some meetings up in Rocky Hill.
