These stations are found primarily in the Midwest.

Marathon Oil had long been headquartered in Findlay, Ohio.
Back in the 80's they were acquired by US Steel Corp. here in Pittsburgh,
and run as a subsidiary.  But they have since been spun-off again and are
more or less autonomous.

They have stations all over Ohio and Michigan.  I have a credit card with them
that I've had since I was in Michigan with Ames in the 1980's.  They have a few stations
here in the Pittsburgh area.  However, none are very convenient to my house.
One became a Citgo station (and I won't buy gas there, as profits from Citgo help
to prop-up the Venezuelan government that is oppressing its people).  And the other
one became a Sunoco two weeks back.

It would be nice if they worked out a deal to let you continue using your gas card
at someone else's station if they decide to sell it.

My wife has family in Ashland, KY & I'm familiar with their refinery which "welcomes" you to Kentucky as you drive along I-64. There is a Marathon (or perhaps one of their Speedway) station practically in sight of the refinery so the fuel should be fresh...but drive a few miles down the road & you can get the same gas at a lower price.

I am no longer a Marathon credit card customer.

After roughly thirty years of having a card with them, I sent in my payment
last month, which apparently got delayed in the mail a day or two past the deadline.

My statement this month included a $27.00 late payment fee.
I cut up my card and sent it back with the check, telling them to cancel my account.

There are simply too many places were I can buy gasoline.  I don't have
to tolerate this.

The only Marathon locations in the Philadelphia, PA area are under the Speedway name
"And I'm not missing a thing, watching the full moon crossing the range"
