A very interesting article from the Wall Street Journal on some major
cultural shifts that are shaking-up the grocery business.

Basically grocery customers are fragmenting into two segments.
Higher-income shoppers who desire fresh and organic options, and
low-income shoppers on a budget who gravitate to generic and store brands.

This is leaving long-established traditional brands like Hamburger Helper,
Kraft Mac and Cheese, and Chef Boyardee stranded out in the cold.  Too
pricey for the budget shopper and not organic enough for the affluent.

Article also mentions that the internet is allowing smaller producers to compete
for business even though they can't afford TV ad campaigns.
