Our local one just closed up - finally - a week or two ago after having their closing sale for what seemed like FOREVER. We suspected that it couldn't compete with Cabela's, but it's apparently the entire company that's folding.

On a story I saw posted elsewhere, it looks like they are closing the listed stores and attempting to sell the rest, but if they are unable to do so all the stores may be closed down.

The Snellville, GA location on the closing list just opened about a year and a half ago in October 2015. It was built from the ground up in a brand new shopping center that is still expanding.

I drove by the Salisbury, MD store today & they're closing. This seems like a ripe market for them (or somebody) though the times we were in there it wasn't exactly swamped.

Ours in North Tonawanda, NY, just finished their huge out of business sale. I think, at least here, Cabelas drove them out. Sporting good places are not doing well here anyways, Laux just shuttered a couple stores too.

Interestingly, the Gander Mountain building used to be an Ames.
