Apparently they have set the internet ablaze with their Super Bowl ad on the
hot-button topic of immigration.

It is simply beyond me why ANY retailer would make such a risky move.
Dragging politics into your marketing is a lose-lose proposition.  You are sure
to alienate at least half your potential customer base, no matter WHAT side
you take on an issue.

They get the short-term win of a zillion hits to their website, in exchange for the
long-term negatives of boycotts, protests and upset customers.  Why would a chain even go here?

I remember seeing that ad for 5 secs then not paying attention. I remember they had stores in south NJ-

Politics-barf. Good idea for a forum idea on here.....lol

In my retail career I encountered a number of people who had held management jobs
with 84 Lumber.

I don't recall even one of them having anything good to say about the experience.
