Was just at a wedding in Philadelphia and stayed at the Philadelphia 201 Hotel in Center City.

This hotel recently changed ownership from Sheraton to Marriott.   A large, full-service hotel that
is very convenient to most attractions in Philly.  I was able to park at a city garage across the street
for seven bucks a day (which is really cheap by big city downtown standards).

The staff was very friendly and accommodating.  The place itself was a bit shopworn however.
My room had a golden colored carpet that was dirty and stained.  Some of the wallpaper was
peeling in a couple of places.  You could see wear on the furniture.

There was however a sign in the lobby which said renovations were underway (perhaps a reason
the place changed hands), so I presume they had just not gotten to my room yet.

The room was comfortable.  There were spectacular views of Downtown Philly but
unfortunately the exterior of the window was quite dirty.  I noticed that weirdly the bathroom did
not have an exhaust fan (which I don't think I've ever not seen in a hotel before).  Nor did it have
a mini fridge or a safe.  We had thought about staying at another hotel across the way but rooms
there were almost three times as expensive.
