A certain repeat offender on Flickr seems to have made a habit of stealing my photos on Flickr.  I have blocked her on several different accounts.

I'd really like something to be done, but judging from some of her behavior and attempts at communicating, I don't think I would get very far by trying to ask politely.  Is it really worth filling out DMCA forms for each and every photo that she has taken?

Here is the user in question: https://www.flickr.com/photos/70393145@N02/page1

(Also, if you are going to commit copyright violations, it might not be a good idea to post pictures of yourself on the job on your Flickr. Just sayin'.)

Chuck E. Cheese

Yeah, definitely copyright violation. I would really recommend calling Flickr support and try and deal with them but if it's really needed the forms.

I asked her to take my photo down and got:
"actally this is my account i can post whatever photos on here"

I said at least credit me as the photographer and she said:
"sure"

But that never happened, so I put a link to my original in her comment box on the suspect photo.  I figured I'd TRY to play nice...

Then this morning, I got:
"oh dude am going be kind and nice to say this to you i had my flickr account since i sign up for yahoo"
and:
"if you ask me again to remove any of my photos on here i will block you on here and am not kinding around"

[sarcasm]Oh boy...block me...I'm so SCARED...[/sarcasm]

I'm done playing nice.  I just filed a copyright complaint with Yahoo's legal team.  We'll see where that goes.

Update:

It appears this photo is gone (at least temporarily) while Yahoo looks into the issue.  She's blocked.

Turning off the public download function on my photos seems to have stopped her for now.  Now to take care of the ones she already uploaded...

Can't argue with that logic.

Yeah, she used something along those lines with me too.  ::)

Retail Fan+ (Justin Hill)

This is quite similar to something that happened on YouTube, where one user steals another user's videos, then posts them. It never happened to me, but it did happen to my subscribers/subscriptions. It's a form of piracy or bootlegging to steal photos/videos and claim them as your own.

Chuck E. Cheese

Oh, that happens all the time in the Chuck E Cheese community. It's all kids, so to them it's fun and games. :(

Ameskid,

I don't know if she got to you or not, but "sweetheart1718" now has another account, "puppy1921," also known as "ginadietz ginadietz"

I think she may have created that before the "Sweetheart" account.  I looked up the "puppy" account and already have her blocked on that one.  Thanks for letting me know.

I do wonder if she has any photos that are NOT 90px square in size... ???
