A local chain of 9 theaters in Western PA, based in New Castle.
They recently acquired the former Century Square Cinema in West Mifflin.
That was a $1 bargain theater for most of its existence.

Golden Star is currently renovating the building, and they have applied for a
liquor license.  It is going to reopen as a "luxury theater" with bar service.

The tentative Grand Opening date is April 14.   Ironically the same Grand Opening
date as my Ames store in Imlay City.

The refurbished Century Square Cinemas seems to be doing quite a booming business.

The new owners refurbished it with stadium seating, all-digital technology, and premium
food and beverage service (including alcohol service).

The parking lot appears to be full every time I go by.   It appears that the Chilis location
next door made a good call by deciding to ride it out while the theater was closed.  There
is also a brand new Lowe's location on the other side.

Rest of this plaza is looking pretty sad though.  Family Christian Stores just closed.  Office Depot pulled out awhile ago.  Pretty much everything to the left of Planet Fitness is vacant, and there are rumors that the Shop n' Save might close.
