It's located in the far northern Chicago outskirt suburb of Gurnee, Illinois. It's so far north that it's halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.

I've been to Six Flags Great America a few times. My favorite rollercoasters at that park include Willard's Whizzer, Raging Bull, Batman: The Ride, and Superman: Ultimate Flight.

Six Flags Great America, like its sister park California's Great America (currently owned by Cedar Fair and previously known as Paramount's Great America) in Santa Clara, California, both have double-decker carousels near the park's entrance. Both parks were once called Marriott's Great America, and were once owned b the JW Marriott hotel chain.

I rode Batman: The Ride while was there. I like how the ride queue leading to the main ride resembles a crime-ridden Gotham City complete with walls of graffiti and a police car which looks as if it has crashed into fire hydrant. The area where you actually board the ride resembles the Batcave from the Tim Burton Batman movies. There's also a Batmobile from the Tim Burton Batman movies parked outside the ride itself.

I've never been to Six Flags, lol, but on the topic I've watched this cool video on the abandoned 'Six Flags New Orleans'.

I'd say Six Flags New Orleans became the Dixie Square of theme parks.

Six Flags Great America is also home of "The Demon" Arrow Dynamics looping roller coaster.

Here's a POV video of it!

It's a shame that Six Flags New Orleans was left for dead after Hurricane Katrina! :(

A new roller coaster called "The Joker" opened at Six Flags Great America.

Six Flags has "Joker" roller coasters at Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Texas, and Six Flags Great Adventure. They're all the "4D Free Fly" model the first 4D Free Fly roller coaster that Six Flags was Batman: The Ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

"Joker" at Six Flags New England was originally (and always to me) Bizarro! Haven't seen it in a while though.

Wasn't Bizarro at SFNE originally "Superman: Ride of Steel"?

Not sure, but Joker is definitely a new coaster this year.

Speaking of Superman, Six Flags Great America has one of three "Superman: Ultimate Flight" flying roller coasters. The other two are located at Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Great Adventure. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has a roller under that name, but it's not a flying roller coaster.
