Ameskid

My grandparents were hoarders, and lived in Silver Spring, Maryland from 1965 to 2007.  It was my family's job to excavate the house and sort through all the crap that they had accumulated through the years.  They saved bags from retail stores to reuse in the future, and I managed to save these from being thrown out.

I remember the Ames "Working to Win You Back" slogan.  It was after we had emerged from the first Chapter 11.

Those JC Penney bags are very old.  I remember my mom getting bags and boxes with that
logo in the late 60's-early 70's.

Nice! My Grandparents are also hoarders..lol..They have a bunch of Junk and stuffs with Caldor labels. Shopping Bags? I Wouldn't know..and god knows they don't.

(I've been focusing a bit more on the CEC and SPP Community and that's hwy I've been a tad inactive here)

Wow !! That plastic bag must be rare

Super Giant was Giant Landover's Discount-Dept. Store & Supermarket combo from 1958 - 1977 (estimated dates from some research)

Giant also had stand alone discount dept. Stores under the simple name of "Giant Department Store"

They used the same "GIANT" in the letter "G" logo that the supermarkets used at the time...
