How cool is that the fan club is named on the Ames article!!

I do wonder why they did not list all the former locations as there are some in PA and FL that were not listed.  Wonder where they got the info on the store listing?

It appears someone is re-doing the Ames page, and has removed the links to Zayre88's site as well as my own.  I tried re-adding them and they were taken down again by this user, referred to as "spam links."  I sent the user a message stating that these were legitimate websites, and someone from wikipedia added amesfanclub.com back.  I'm not sure if they will take it down again, but I see no reason why me or Patrick's sites can't be referenced on this page.

Wikipedia doesn't want locations in articles about stores, shopping malls/shopping centers, and other cra[ like that. Those jerks decided to delete my article about The Bristol Commons Shopping Center.

Yes, its awful how some people look at wikipedia pages as their own personal pages.  You can also use the history feature to retrieve past versions of pages and anything you lost.  It looks like that caldorwards4 user is "cleaning" up department store pages to his liking, I don't think he is wikipedia staff.  I have no problem with that, but I don't think they should be removing legitimate information and links.

Some users also don't like this website as an external link for the Ames page.  I am apparently advertising, even though we're completely non-profit here.  I could understand if this was just some rinky dink website, but we've helped a lot of people here and provide some valuable info to former employees looking for severance pay, etc...  I feel this site is highly relevant in some way to the Ames topic.

Indeed -- that's kind of baffling to me as why they would keep deleting it. It's a good resource, and it's not as if there are gobs of decent Ames-related websites floating around the internet.
