Haggen gives up fight for survival, to sell all stores

The Pacific Northwest grocery chain that bankrupted itself with a disastrous expansion into the Southwest has filed its intention to sell all of its stores, including the 30-odd stores it had identified as "core" stores.

They sold itself to Albertsons...Haggen will still have the name on some stores...
