I haven't seen a thread for this hair salon yet. Discuss.

Maybe we should have a board for hair salons like Cost Cutters, Great Clips, Super Cuts, etc.

Cost Cutters in Southington, Connecticut is located in Shoprite Plaza in-between Moon Nails and Luen Hop Chinese Take-out.

Haven't been there in a long time. (I usually cut my own hair).

Cost Cutters is one of many brands of the Regis Corporation.

Here's some Cost Cutters pictures from their former location at Apache Plaza in St. Anthony, Minnesota, which operated from 1985 to 2004 with its original logo:

I have been going there lately as they've been sending me a lot of coupons.

Went recently because I needed a haircut to attend a wedding.  I went in and there were
a couple of women ahead of me.  The girl took my name and said "about 10 minutes".
I waited 20.  Then they started telling others who came in the door "about 45 minutes".
A few minutes later one of them finished her customer.  But she took an old lady ahead
of me.  Then they started breaking out the foil.  I have been coming to these places long
enough to know that once they break out the foil, you may as well get in your car and drive
to Ohio because you are going to get your hair cut sooner that way than if you continue to wait.

I went down the road to a Supercuts, where there was only one girl on duty and five sitting in the waiting area.  Two of those were asleep.  She kept her back turned and never acknowledged me.

So I got in the car and drove to Walmart and went into the StyleSmart salon.  The woman told me it would be over an hour's wait.  Never did get my hair cut that day.

All of these places are owned by Regis (along with BoRics).  It's a veritable Haircut Mafia!

Huh, I haven't had more than a 20 minute wait at any hair salon in my area.

Also the Cost Cutters I go to is not in a good neighborhood.
It is next-door to a Pizza Hut that has been held-up several times.
