While all the Tim Horton stores did close, Bess Eaton has returned in a somewhat small way.

From their site (besseaton.com):
David Liguori, a lifelong Westerly resident and former Bess Eaton executive, along with Don Hassel, Robin Busch, and Mary Duggan Haverly, former Bess Eaton employees and Tim Horton franchise owners, have secured the rights to the Bess Eaton Coffee Shop Name and Intellectual Property Rights. The group currently has four Bess Eaton Coffee Shops open with plans to grow into a strong local southern New England chain.

Locations listed are: Westerly, Wakefield and Galilee, all in Rhode Island and Pawcatuck, CT.

Thought I'd look - while their website doesn't seem to get much updating, they have a Facebook page with the most recent post from the beginning of this, saying they would still offer takeout and drive thru while they weren't able to be open for inside eating.

From that page, it still shows the four listed above (Galilee, also shown as Narragansett is seasonal so that may not be open) plus an additional location in Groton, CT.  So 4 regulars plus the one seasonal.

Just to update how that "branch" has gone.

Groton doesn’t have a Bess Eaton anymore. There were 2 at one time, which were converted to Tim Hortons and then subsequently closed when they pulled out of New England. Interestingly enough, both locations are still empty, even though they are on prime locations at busy intersections. A DD just happens to be very close to both.

118 Fort Hill Road, Groton CT (Bridge Market) is what they list on their Facebook Page - not sure if that corresponds to one of the two that were there prior to the conversion, or possibly something new (maybe as part of some other business, with that Bridge Market notation?).
