3 Radio Disney Stations have been sold. They're all going to Religious Groups.

WFDF 910 Farmington Hills/Detroit has been sold to The Word Network operator of TV 38 WADL.

KMIC in Houston has been sold to a Spanish Language Ministry.

WQEW 1560 in NYC has been sold to Family Radio the Ministry that was found by the late Harold "The End of the World" Camping.

No official word yet when the changes will take place.

Interesting in that they are also strongly considering putting their UHF frequency up for bids in the spectrum auction, which would pretty much
end their broadcast TV operation.

I still don't understand why they want to shut down Channel 38 to make room for their newly-purchased 910.

Follow the money.  Apparently there are bidders out there willing to pay more for the Channel 38 frequency than that station could ever bill.

And likely they will go with an all-religious brokered format on WFDF.
WWVA in Wheeling, WV has done this in the evening hours for many years.
Rumor has it that's the only thing that keeps that station in the black.
