Was probably the original one in town, near Keene State College and outskirts the Wal-Mart plaza.

I live in Keene. It may be the original location, it's the only one in the area that didn't get a remodel. They redid all of them in Keene this decade. There are currently two on West Street in Keene, and the West Street one without the drive thru might actually be older

I know the East Swanzey location (just outside of Keene) was originally an A&W. The entire building was redone just a few years ago as well though

DD at Shell (former Texaco) in Lindenwold, NJ. There also is one like this in Swedesboro.

Greensburg, PA across the highway from Westmoreland Mall. Not sure when it closed, probably in the past few months. I usually take the back roads, so I didn't notice until now...

The new Dunkin Donuts on Queen Street in Southington (across from Price Chopper) opened the other day. No camera = no pix. Sorry. Meanwhile as of last week the one at the corner of Queen Street and Aircraft Road is now open 24 hours.

Was driving to Walmart this morning to pick up my pay stub and saw a guy dressed up as a cup of coffee outside the DD at corner of Quenn Street and Aircraft Road. Sorry no pix. Cant take pix while driving.

their building a new one right next to Wendys on the turnpike(which was suppose to be a Tim Hotons orginally!) I beleive it will make 6 on route 15/5 now. 1 in Wethersfield, 3 in Newington, and 2 in Berlin.

momof3

Does Newington really need another DD????They also put one in the Valario gas station on Kelsey Street.  Talk about overkill....

This is how the building looked in the Mid-80's (from the reverse side)
Keene, New Hampshire

This was the entire stretch of East Keene in the Mid-80's
This is basically how Keene was when I moved to it
....sigh, look at all the traffic that ISN'T there.
We used to be a small town
I found this photo today at a Car Dealership, which is in the middle of this photo
And has since been relocated and replaced with an Applebees
The now Dunkin Donuts is in the Bradlees/IGA plaza.
Not a single store in this photo is the same anymore
If you know Keene well, you'll notice the roads and parking lots are entirely different today
The store at the bottom right is Bradlees, the side plaza
extends much further today, the trees are now a Burger King

Here's a slightly closer look at it. That intersection is now a roundabout with no traffic lights for continuous flow

Nice pictures.  I remember Mister Donut. I think they had locations in Maine too.  You should post this picture in the Mister Donut topic! :yup:

New Southington Queen Street Dunkin Donuts - Now Open. Pic taken in the pouring rain from Price Chopper parking lot on Wednesday 4/22/09. Built from the ground up this site was home to many car dealerships over the years including Mitchell's Used Car Lot, Southington Daewoo (remember those), and Queen Street Automotive USA-1. A very cool looking DD if you ask me.

ther updateing the dd on main st in my town i will try to get a pic when its done

I've had a few problems with DD lately. Not long after they lowered the price of the small Strawberry Coolata to $1.99 the guy at the one inside the Farmington Avenue Stop & Shop in Bristol charged me full-price and I had to remind him that the price was $1.99

Also wanted to get a Strawberry Coolata at the DD at The Meriden Square on Tuesday (7/14) and the kid told me their Coolata Machine was broken.

Was gonna stop at the DD in New Britain in front of the Abandoned Shaw's that same Tuesday, but there were too many unsavory looking characters hanging out in front of the store. (Went to Big Y and got a Large Rootbeer instead. *smirk*).

I've had the same problem with a few different Dunkin's in Westfield and Greenfield.  I buy smalls for a co-worker and I almost always have to remind them that the advertised price is $1.99.  I would not be surprised if they are trained to sell at full price unless asked.

Chris, we need to ask Nick (XISMZERO). He is the AFC's resident DD Expert since he was previously employed by them.

Agree'd.

d_fife

guess who the guy was who said in commercials for Dunkin DOnuts saying "Time to Make the Donuts" and what do you think of him?

Marc82

He's been dead for several years and he used to be the guy in the Sound Playground ads.

Resident expert, eh? Heh heh. All I can tell ya is that in the two permanent stores I worked at, at no time was I ever trained to avoid giving the advertised promotional price for any promotional deal we had at the time. If that were the case, our stores wouldn't have participated in the promo in the first place (yes most franchise-operated shops have the option to opt out of some promos, not just DD but all franchise-run businesses).

The problem lies in the execution of ringing the item up at the register. Because it's a promo, there's a special code (if you bring in a coupon, look at the PLU# at the bottom in the finer print) that must be entered upon ringing any promotional item up to give the immediate value off the regular price in accordance with what that store charges -- which is easily forgettable as it is a pain in the tuckus.

Most of the time, cashiers will simply forget (it's happened to me) or simply not be trained properly -- it's hardly malicious on the part of the company much less the franchise-owners. Wanting to start trouble with their customer base is unrealistic for any business.

I find that cashiers who've seen little training make this error most -- as with ringing in combos -- the computers aren't programmed to turn a medium coffee with two donuts into a number 1.

I remember on "Free Iced Coffee Day" back in 2007, some stores had to ring the small iced coffee up and then enter the code to keep track of how many were expended. Luckilly, I didn't work that day but even so, my store simply gave them away without hassle.
All submitted photos were taken by myself unless stated otherwise.
