??? Anybody ever hear of this book store, I went there long ago for a DuckTales VHS, the one I went to was in West Hartford, CT. Years later, my mother and I tried to track it down, and when we found the location the store was gone. Any
details would be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

We had one here in Albany (NY) as well.

As you might have guessed by the name, many of the books were just $1, although they had some that were higher priced, but usually still in dollars (ie $2, $3, $5 etc.).

Here's one old 2005 article - mentions that they were in Ch. 11 in 2001

And another - Article from Oct 05 stating closing of remaining 7 outlets by the end of the month

I remember a short-lived book store in Bristol, Connecticut about 17 years ago where Century Buffet is now. I don't remember if it was Buck-a-Book or not.
