I have many memories of this channel during my childhood years. I didn't have cable at my house, but my grandmother had satellite and every weekend we stayed there, she would have The Grand Ole Opry on .

A few years later, we got cable, and my dad would watch every Sunday because they always had NASCAR racing on. It was one of the primary reasons we got cable.

My father (may he rest in piece) used to like watching the line-dancing show every night. I think it used to be called "Club Dance."  Way back then I didn't like Country Music, so I didn't care about this channel. I only started watching it when they started showing old sitcoms such as WKRP, Alice, and The Wonder Wonder Years. (That may have been after the rebrand from TNN - The Nashville Network to TNN - The National Network).

TNN The Nashville Network is back. This time they're a broadcast digital network owned in part by Luken Communications owners of Retro TV, The PB & J Kids Network, and something called Tuff-TV. http://www.watchtnn.com/ They even brought back the old logo and they're going back to the old TNN and is celebrating their 30th Anniversary.

It's channels like this one that give us hope for all the defunct cable channels out there to be revived as an OTA network/digital subchannel. I know a lot of people in my area who grew up with the original TNN who would love to watch it again, there are a few broadcast networks in my area who could be willing to carry this.

TNN (The Nashville Network) has changed its name to Heartland to distance themselves from the former cable network.

Can we still discuss about the old TNN cable channel on this thread?
