I like TVLAND, but I wish they'd stop the long-ass commercial breaks. They also need to stop airing shows "off the clock". It's a very common practice not only on TVLAND but on some of their other Viacom sister networks. I wish they would show "Home Improvement" at  a better time slot than 5AM and not pick up Friends. Starting in June Friends is going to be on both TVLAND and its sister network Nick-At-Nite, plus it's also going to be still airing on TBS and local stations such as WCCT-TV 20 here in Hartford.

My TVLAND Shows are: Roseanne, Home Improvement, The Cosby Show (sometimes), and The Golden Girls.

^Agreed, TV Land needs go back to showing shows on the clock and not to mention they need to go back to airing reruns of westerns and old crime shows (like Dragnet). I do miss the retromercials that they used air along side the current commercials.

We used to love this channel. My parents liked it because they were shows they watched as a kid, and the shows, even some of the crime shows, were pretty kid friendly.

I, too wish they would mix up the show variety a little more. I swear they aired more shows a few years ago. The long commercials are no stranger to the channel though.

With the way TV Land is nowadays, maybe they should just have a channel that shows nothing but commercials 24/7!  :D

Whatever happened to "Take me to TV Land"?

I seems that TV Land is nothing more than a shell of its former self and a "clone" of cable channels like USA, TBS, and TNT.

Strangely enough TVLAND's sister network LOGO, which at one time only showed programmed geared towards the LGBTQ community show some "older shows" that could be on TVLAND - Alice, Mama's Family, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, and A Different World. They also show Married with Children, which was on TVLAND Briefly and Roseanne which is shared with both sister networks TVLAND and CMT.

Many of the shows that used to be found on Nick @ Nite and TV Land on cable/satellite TV are now on channels also found over the air via an antenna, like Bounce TV, Laff, COZI, Retro TV, Antenna TV, and MeTV.

I presumed that Logo ran a lot of those shows because prominent cast members were known to be gay (Paul Lynde, Dick Sargent, Hayden Rorke, Amanda Bearse, etc.)
