I decided to start a series of paintings based on closed department stores and decided to share the first (my beloved Bradlees!) Caldor is up next..

Wow how did you get so accurate on the logo? It looks really good brings back memories of going to the Waterbury Bradlees near Stop & Shop where Target is now. I vaguely remember the Bradlees near the highway I-84 where Raymour & Flanigan is now. IIRC it used to be near the billboard that advertised Union 76 Truck Stop before they became Travel Centers of America.  :)

This was based on the Milford, MA Bradlees that my mom would often take me and my sisters after work on a week night. It was part of a plaza but I left it as a stand alone structure because I thought it might not work composition-wise. But really who cares.
I had printed the size font I wanted and held each letter next to where I wanted it and copied it best I could :)
