Old Navy Plans on opening a store in 2011 in The Meriden Square Mall. I can't figure out where they're gonna go though.

http://westfield.com/meriden/specialoffers/OldNavyArrivesSummer2011.html

I wonder if they're gonna close their Townline Square Plaza store on South Broad Street in Meriden. Interestingly enough Famous Footwear moved from the Meriden Square Mall to Townline Square Plaza several years ago and now it appears Old Navy is doing the opposite.

If Old Navy is in fact closing down their Townline Square location I wonder if it has anything to do with the closing of Shoprite. (Which moved across the border into Wallingford).

Old Navy at the Meriden Square Mall opened last week an had its Grand Opening on last weekend Friday April 29th.

Also The Famous Footwear I mentioned in my last post about Old Navy in Townline Square is moving down Route 5 to the Wallingford side. They're going to be in the same "plaza" as Kohl's.

Old Navy has a 2-story location at The Gallery, in Philadelphia, PA.  Before it was Old Navy, it was a bunch of mall stores on both floors.

Our Old Navy in Avon Commons, Avon, OH, went through "the renovation" for "the new Old Navy," and the store wound up about 1/3 smaller than the original one after it reopened. Supposedly, a Five Below is going into the new 'vacated' space...

Old Navy in Plainville, CT is undergoing renovations. Don't know what it looks like on the inside, but on the outside they have a fence around the store, what looks like a temporary entrance, a banner on the building that says "Old Navy Open During Transformation", and they're removing the glass from the facade of the building where the Old Navy sign used to be.

If it was a larger location, then it's probably being refitted for the 'smaller' format.

Great. Just what the Plainville Commons needs - more vacant space. Anyway you're probably right. Currently it's 25,340 square feet.

They got rid of the Plainville Drive In and Plainville track (a auto race track) to build the Commons...what a shame!!

What a mess. They ripped the facade completely off the building. I don't shop there so I'm not going inside. They have plywood near the windows so you can't see in or out.

When they were building it (Plainfield Commons), I knew it would not be a success.
