When I was younger, the was a supermarket on Lehigh Avenue and Trenton Avenue in Philadelphia called Super Food Rite next to the Rite Aid. It has recently been turned into a Save A Lot. I have never seen this brand name on any other store so I assumed it must be part of a bigger company. Does anyone have any insight on this store?

Super Food Rite, also known as Super Rite Foods, was spun off of Rite Aid in 1983, acquired Food-a- Rama in 1985 and then was acquired by Richfood in 1995.  Richfood itself was acquired by SuperValu in 1999.

Thank you, that explains why it was right next to Rite Aid!
