after looking though some old pictures i finally found out what happend to the Neptune NJ location

it opened as a caldor



then ames



and in 2005 i took a picture of the location without even knowing it once was an ames or a caldor

lol well i took it almost 5 years ago had i only been there a year earlier i probable would have been able to see it as an ames

Is this anywhere near Neptune Beach?  Over the summer, I stayed in Ocean Grove (about 2 miles from Asbury Park) and Neptune Beach was close to our house.

I think the first Wal-Mart Supercenter and Home Depot in NJ were near Asbury Park too. The first Sam's Club was the former Bradlees in Cinnaminson which closed in 1989.

Yes, that sounds about right. I think the second one was in Old Bridge near Asbury Park.

Old Bridge doesn't have a Supercenter, just a regular Wal-Mart. They want to build one there but townspeople and a local union are opposing the project.

Maybe it wasn't Old Bridge. I think the town was "orange" something.

These are all the current supercenters in NJ:

Turnersville
Deptford
Deptford (2)
Vineland

Another one is currently being built in Somerdale. Walmart.com says there are six supercenters in NJ, but I searched them up on their online locator and I only found four.
