Here's a mall for the record.

http://www.amesfanclub.com/imageserver/Junk/local/wco/index.htm

As you go inside the parking level entrances, a speaker goes on and welcomes you for chosing Worcester Common.  Here's an updated picture from our local newspaper.  The first phase of renovaton is nearly complete.  It's kind of sad, it is a nice, colorful, maybe too colorful mall.

SO THEIR GOING TO REPLACE AN ENTIRE COMFORTABLE INDOOR AT LEAST INTERESTING MALL WITH AN OUTDOOR SHOPPING AREA WITH A LOUSY NAME AND LOUSE LOGO " CITY SQUARE?" HOW BLAND:barf:

SO FROM NOW ON IN ORDER FOR PEOPLE TO SHOP THEY HAVE TO SHOP OUTSIDE!:flaming::flaming::flaming::flaming::flaming:

WHEN ITS WINTER THEY'LL HAVE TO GO OUT IN THE COLD
WHEN ITS SUMMER THEY'LL HAVE TO SWEAT IT DO YOU KNOW HOW HOT IT GETS IN THOSE CITIES?SWELTERING HOT!

WHAT FUN.

THIS IS UNFAIR

I'm BEGINNING TO HATE THESE OUT-DOOR ONLY SHOPPING AREAS

WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY INVENTED MALLS FOR?

INDOOR COMFORTABLE SHOPPING DUH!:duh:

ITS LIKE THEY'RE MAKING INDOOR SHOPPING ILLEGAL!

JUST SO THEY COULD SO CALLED " REVITALIZE" CITIES ITS SO STUPID

THEY'RE DOING THE SAME STUPID THING IN BRISTOL

BECAUSE THEY SAID " THE MALL IS FAILING"

AND IN ORDER TO PROVE THIS AND SUCCEED IN THEIR AGENDA THEY'RE DRIVING OUT ALL THE TENANTS BY 2006 to demolish it.

SO MUCH FOR COMFORTABLE SHOPPING

SENORA HEATING DUCTS AND AIR CONDITIONED OLD MALLS

BTW WHERE ARE PEOPLE GOING TO PARK AFTER THEY DEMOLISH THE PARKING GARAGES? HMMMMM!:P

Nah, the guy in the picture is not me...  It's my buddy Phil.  I would never put myself in a picture.;)  I am the one holding the parking stub though.

I went there last summer and no stores are left. it was dead. I saw the buildign that was jordan marsh. jordan marsh closed in 1991 and it was 309,000 square feet and the 104,000 square foot filene's closed in 1993. the mall is in a bad area  and this mall seems getto. it seems to have outlet stores and saw the remains of the foodcourt.

Hi! I'm new to the forums and I figured, what better way to introduce myself than with some photos of my favorite dead mall -- the Worcester Common Fashion Outlets, also known as the Worcester Center Galleria in a past life. All of these photos were taken around February or March 2009. For more information about the mall: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worcester_Common_Outlets.

Aaaand two photos of me at WCO. The first one was taken on the roof and the second one was taken in what I believe to be a children's clothing store, on the first level of the mall:

Welcome!  I'm from not too far away from this place, Dudley, and took some pictures back in the day you might also be interested in.  I can't believe you can still get into theat place!  Great shots!

Thank you so much! Your shots are great too! I love that the hot air balloon decorations are still hanging from the glass dome. When were those photos taken, approximately?

A lot of the mall has already been redeveloped, and it's basically empty, but it's still one of my favorite places to walk around in. The view from the roof is immaculate, but because of workers in and around the building, I've only been up there once.

Also, if any photos exist of the movie theater in the basement of the mall, I'd love to see them. That's the one part of the mall that I wasn't able to get into because both the interior and exterior doors are locked.

what a great looking mall!!! I love the skylight running the whole way down. That is a beautiful piece of architecture. I'm originally from NH but I don't have that many memories of it, mostly in the Seabrook/Plymouth area. And we're talking from 1976-1983 or so. So, yeah...haha. Great photos though. And welcome to the boards.

Thank you! I'm actually from North Hampton, so only a few miles from Seabrook.

I'm actually in North Hampton, NH not Northampton, MA. Although I did spend all of last year living in Noho, and I'm fairly familiar with Northfield too. It's gorgeous up there.
