Old "original receipe" KFC building located in Henderson KY

HoJofan206

The old building has not been a KFC for over 20 years now and currently serves as a used car lot.

HoJofan206

This somewhat new KFC in Evansville IN was not in business for very long, but has deteriorated rapidly in recent years.

Our local KFC (PFK) has the same building style, but is not going to close anytime soon, it's always busy.

Our KFC in Kingston had a bad kitchen fire this past Wednesday. You could smell the chicken for about a 5 mile radius of the location.

This is the KFC/Taco Bell Combo store in East Greenbush at the Route 9/20 and Route 4 intersection.  This store started out as a KFC and later had the Taco Bell added (so much so that from this shot you'd think it was a Taco Bell with unusual red awnings!).

KFC actually had an older store just across & down the road on Route 4 - many years ago it closed for "remodel" while the road was being orked on and never re-opened.  It's now a Mr. Subb.  This location was built about 15 +/- years later - who knows why the long break.

This location is on Kunker Road, just off Route 9 across (opposite corners) from the Latham Circle Mall in Latham.  They had a fire about 6-8 months ago and it looks like nothing has been done since.  This is an older location, and there is already a Taco-LJS down the road, so I don't know what they have in mind (if anything).

BillyGr

The first is the Poughkeepsie store on Main Street - the building has been redone, but was there for a bit, as seen by the older sign at the rear driveway.

Second is the Western Avenue location (below Crossgates) - another older location.

Third is the Central Ave Colonie location - also an older store.

BillyGr

The first photo is one I missed before of the Kingston location, on Ulster Ave near Route 32 - There were barrels blocking part of the driveway (you can see a bit of one at the far bottom right) - not sure why.  The Stewart's is off to the right of the shot (but the sign was in the way!).

The little photo on the top right and the big one  in the middle are both of the Cobleskill location on Route 7 - the smaller one shows it from afar (with another pesky sign for something else in the way) and the bigger one is an extreme close up of the front.

The last photo is in Oneonta - I think it was on Route 7 more in the main part of town, but am not totally sure.

The barrels are there because the restaurant had a bad kitchen fire a couple months ago. Recently, the restaurant has been gutted out, so I don't know what will happen. The closest KFC to here is Poughkeepsie.

I saw this KFC in latham new york on MArch 21, 2006 and it was still boarded up. WHY NOT REOPEN IT? despite that there was a fire! Well there is a boston market near it.

d_fife

With that glass enclosure, is there any chance of that site being a former Wendy's?

Yeah it looks like other glass enclosures found at Wendy's but i believe it's a "real" KFC..

This KFC is on State Street (Route 5) in Schenectady.
