Oh what a blast from the past.  (Im gonna show my age on this one).  This was a men's clothing line/store that was usually located in malls across america.  We had a location in both of our malls here in Evansville Indiana and I purchased a lot of my clothes from this retailer back in my high school years of 1989 to 1992.

I agree HoJo, that is a blast from the past. Lot of great 80s and early style 90s fashions in them. Got a good price on a powder blue Members Only jacket there. I looked like a less successful drug dealer on Miami Vice but my then gf liked me in it. They all vanished some time in the mid 90s. It was like you blinked and so many of those little specialty stores that were ubiquitous in every mall just vanished.

If I recall, they were part of the same company as the retailer, "The Merry Go Round" which was also a very popular teen apparel store that vanished in the 1990's.

Yup, there was a Chess King in our primary mall when I was growing up...I remember as a very young kid wondering what exactly the store had to do with chess, whereas they only appeared to sell clothes...

I took things very literally as a child. :P

Cheess King was a men's clothing store chain that had closed in 1996, so maybe we should move this thread to the closed chains board.
