here is the site plan for the wal-mart currently in gorham nh. in 1994 they proposed to build in the center of town. but it got turned down due to it causing traffic problems in that area and it being near a playground.

taht wal-mart was expanded 5 years ago and it was expanded from 117,000 sf to 139,000 sf and that cannot be a supercenter  because shaw's is in the plaza nadn there is not much land in the back. it opened 14 years ago from this time.

This is the Bennington WalMart (with a bit of the Bennington Monument behind).  The store does go a bit to the left & right, but is a fairly shallow store - it was a re-used store (the only way they got permission to open).  There has been talk (and a vote, which passed) about expanding, but nothing has happened as of yet.  Only about 6 registers.

it is the smallest wal-mart I ever went to. IT is 51,000 sf and opened in september 1995. they talk of expanding was to expand it to 112,000 sf. It was a woolworth

the one in epping is 205,000 sf and the 2nd largest one in new hampshire and opened 2 years ago.

First is the store in Crossgates Commons (across Washington Ave. from Crossgates Mall).  It is a fairly standard design (or was when they were first building in this area), but the color is unusual.  When first built, there was additional parking at the left side of the store.

Second is the Pittsfield (MA) store - in with the Price Chopper off Route 8.  Somewhat different with the sliding door for entry and regular doors to exit, along with the peaked roof above the name (rather than flat like the photo above).

Third is the North Adams (MA) store south of town on Route 8 - this is an unusual design for the entry (again, pointed roof and the additional slant roof to the right & left [with what look kind of like HOJO fake dormers!] but still using the once-standard red/white/blue colors).  This store was built on the site of a former drive in theater, so it's not a remodel of an existing store (lkike Bennington VT).
