Agawam Ames (870 Suffield St.)

Acting on a tip from Patrick Sweeney I went by the Suffield St Ames and sure enough, this store has had a major fire.  Everything has been moved to another abandoned mall and it looks like it will be repaired rather than demolished.  Although there is no scars on the exterior, through the windows you can see some burns and damage towards the middle of the store.  Also, going around back it looks like dumpers have wasted no time in the absence of activity.  We found some old car seating, framing, and other non-flea market junk.

I also went by the other Agawam location and took some pictures of Dave's Pet City, one of the new occupants of the building.  I think I read a while back in the Republican that he actually owns the building now, and is leasing it out himself.

There is also a new Steve and Barry's opened in the adjacent plaza, still having their Grand Opening while others shutter.
