The long vacant former Westinghouse Electric Factory in East Springfield, Mass is about to be torn down and replaced by a $45 million shopping plaza. No word yet on who the tenants will be. It should be noted that back in 1930s (up until the 60s I think) this was the tower site for radio station WBZA, the Springfield relay of Boston's WBZ, which were both owned by Westinghouse Electric.

Story about the planned plaza from 22News: http://www.wwlp.com/Global/story.asp?S=8075826

Pictures of the abandoned factory from Mike F former 22News Master Control Operator: http://www.necrat.com/wbzspringfield/wbza.html

That's pretty close to where Chris and I live, so I am sure he will be documenting the change with plenty of picture :)
