The interior of that restaurant is very attractive.
No reason on earth it needs to be replaced.

McD did a similar thing to a store near me.  They eliminated the playland, and from the
décor of the new store you'd never know that the place sold hamburgers.

If you landed here from Mars and took a look you'd think it was some sort of an organic
farmers' market that also sold fancy gourmet coffees.

Caving to lawyers and the politically correct Health Nazis IMHO.

McDonald's had pulled its most recent Happy Meal toys the "Step it up" wristband toys due to reports of the toy burning kids and are probably going to put in whatever toys the restaurants have left over from past Happy Meal promotions.

But I wonder what does McDonald's do if they're out of Happy Meal toys, like have no toys at all?

Maybe, just maybe, they use what's left over from the last Happy Meal.

True, but I was talking about if McDonald's had no toys at all, not even left over ones?

To me it seems that most recent "leftovers" in Happy Meals are books and the SpongeBob straw topper toys.

I think they would have to order another shipment of toys if that happens.

But, they have to give out something until the new toy shipment arrives, so maybe thy give out extra apple slices in Happy Meal in the meantime.

A seasonal McDonald's in North Wildwood, New Jersey closed for good.

I've heard that if McDonald's runs out of toys for Happy Meals, they give out soft serve kiddie cone since they no longer make McDonaland cookies.

An iconic Green Bay Packers-themed mansard roof McDonald's restaurant in Green Bay, Wisconsin (near the Bay Park Square shopping mall and Lambeau Field) was demolished and is currently being replaced with a McDonald's with the current design.

Dislike.  I've been trying to visit a lot of the older mansard-roof locations I've come across for this very reason.

Dislike.  I've been trying to visit a lot of the older mansard-roof locations I've come across for this very reason.

It is getting harder and harder to find locations with traditional mansard roofs.

Another mansard roof location in Green Bay (McDonald's #91) was replaced with a '50s retro McDonald's with golden arches on the sides of the building a few years ago, located next to a historic McDonald's single arch sign from the restaurant's original location which was in 1959.

The dining area at this mansard roof loacation had a generic 1970s/1980s fast food restaurant interior common at most McDonald's locations before it was demolished in the early 2010s.

The location in Covington, KY was demolished a couple of days ago. Can't wait to see what the new one will be like.  ::)

I ended up running down there this past Friday, when about half of the building had already been demolished. :(  I might post them later in the week.

McDonald's is offering a Nutella Burger in Italy.

Might I add Vomitrocious.
Nutella on a hamburger? Eww, what was Ronald McDonald thinking when he came up with that gross idea?

They built a new McD's in Waterbury on Wolcott Road. It's in the plaza where Ollie's Bargain Basement is. This replaced a location on nearby Lakewood Road.

giantsfan2016

The former McD's in Southington/Bristol across from ESPN is on its 5th restaurant since McD's closed in December 2008.

It was a place that served wrap sandwiches and salads. Then it was an "up-scale" sports bar. Then it was an Indian Restaurant that never opened. Then it was a Mexican Place. Now it's another Mexican places sister restaurant to a place in Wallingford.

This has to be driving franchise owners insane; they can barely find enough employees to staff their restaurants as it is.

Pikapower

McDonald's used to occasionally do a "Two For You" Happy Meal promotion where you got two leftover toys from previous promotions as part of a "clean up" promotion.

Frankly, I think that BK did a better job a executing a two toys in one kids meal promotion with Powerpuff Girls and Dragon Ball Z toys instead of old leftover toys.

Actually the product they made was a dessert pastry that looked like a hamburger, but filled with Nutella.

Oh, I thought that Mickey D's just dumped some Nutella on a burger and trying to pass it off as a dessert item.
